Geetanjali’s, of Moha, story is simple, yet an inspiration one. A small town girl, realized her talent, and got to become a successful jewelry-designer. She comes from a small town in Maharashtra, Malegaon- known as the handloom hub of Maharashtra. In school, she was always the girl who could draw well; and that, she was passionate about back then.
Moha has a design base in Mumbai and production center at Malegaon, with facilities to produce earrings, anklets, nose-pins, and bracelets. Geetanjali says, “Jewelry designing is not as glamorous as it looks, my job is of brick-and-mortor, directly working with kaarigars. From smelting silver brick to polishing the finished product, we do it all in house.” Moha also works with rural artisans from different geographies of India. The antiques come from Geetanjali’s travels. She dreams of becoming a Hobo some day.
