Be a Stylish Intern in Just 7 Steps!

It is your first day at office as an intern and you definitely want to set up a mark and make a statement with your talent of course, but with your style as well! So walk towards a new phase of life—‘the professional world’. Prepare to let your presence felt, with our seven tips!

1) Happy Head

At workplace, looking presentable is extremely mandatory especially your hair. Imagine you are giving a presentation to your super boss and you are fidgety with your hair—it looks extremely unprofessional.

Tide up your hair, and tie it off. You can put a scrunchie, a hair-band, a pin or neatly tie your hair into a bun.

2) The Beauty and the Brooch

You definitely don’t want to look under-dressed, or otherwise. In that case, a brooch can add some spunk and layer to your routine shirt. Don’t borrow your granny’s vintage brooch for office, (leave it for a special occasion). Choose a quirky little brooch in extremely chic shapes and sizes.

3) Update your timeline

In the fast-paced life it is often difficult, yet extremely important to keep a track on time, especially at  workspace! You don’t want to be late on your first day, neither you want to give an impression that you’re socializing on your phone, while you are actually checking time!  Hence, a chic wrist watch is a total must-have.
P.S. Leave your diamond studded watch at home and invest in a smarter and minimalist watch.

4)  Pop Your Collar

Accessories can either make or break your look, but how do you judge how much is too much? The key rule to it is either a neck piece or a chic pair of earrings! Collar chains or cardigan chain clips are becoming a fashion obsession this season, so give this trend a try! (Yes! men wearing a collar chain is passé, girls rule here too, *wink*!)  Grab yours now!

5) Blaze up

Give your work outfit a little edge by wearing a good slim-fit waist coat, a classic cut or a blazing blazer; it just gives you a little more professional and sharper look. A good jacket can add a little touch of formal sophistication to your attire. Blazer, waistcoats etc. have a character to themselves.

It is extremely important to carry a good, clean and professional looking hand-bag to office. It is an accessory that complements your outfit the most, and hence should be chosen wisely. You can either have a simple yet elegant hobo, or a plain back-pack that fits all your daily knickknacks.

7) Happy Feet

As Marilyn Monroe once said, “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world,” it is true and hence important. Choose a stylish and comfortable pair that will make a mark on your appearance, queen bee! Do not don a pair of heels just because “they complete the look” if you’re extremely uncomfortable with them, give them a miss!  You don’t want to trip over while you walk into the boardroom, do you?

We are sure with these seven steps you are definitely going to shine. Look perfectly poise by finding the correct mix of things that suit your style and add value to your internship with brimming ideas. Have fun beautiful!
