Team Red Polka Flirts with Skirts

It’s time to have some fun! While we’ve showcased some really cool skirt designs on Red Polka, the pretty ladies in our team decided to flirt with skirts and help us transform our formal skirt ensemble into a fun-frolic look, one for all our after-hour parties. This needs just a wee bit of accessorizing, make-up and/or changing one top. So here are some delighting ideas.

>> Meet Ms. Richa Raichandani from our Business Development team. She is a peppy style diva and teaches belly dance when not in office. She practices yoga for fitness.

The Work Look

She is wearing a toned down calf length shimmering pencil slit skirt. She has teamed it up with a black top with elbow length sleeves. Her trendy glasses and a bold red lipstick (Maybelline- Continuous Raspberry) give a powerful edgy feel. She is wearing classic black pumps. Very formal, isn’t it?

The ‘After-Hours’ Look

The same skirt is now worn with a candy-apple coloured turtle neck top, and see how the look changes drastically. She has loosened up on the lip colour and added a bit of shimmer by wearing a lip gloss. Classy yet playful (Read sensual)!

Second on our look book is, Ms. Sparkle Thomas from our marketing and alliances team. Her vibrancy is as sparkling as her name, and her smile is infectious. Her style is always ‘up’ with her signature red lipstick shade she wears every day. (Yes, it’s on even early in the morning!)

The Work Look

She is donning a chic fusion look. See how a crisp white formal shirt can be paired so wonderfully with a wrap around midi skirt. Matching your shoes with your bag will add the edge, just like hers.

The ‘After-Hours’ Look

A simple black tank transforms this skirt ensemble into a vivacious post work party look. The chunky gold-orange neck-chain is a total party prep up! Take a look on how tying a messy bun changes the appearance into a far more casual one.

>> Now comes Ms. Divya Jirawla! She has graduated in Fashion Management and is now interning with us. She has her own style and dresses up immaculately every single day. Her formals are high-class, and her casuals are smart.

The Work look

Here she is wearing a basic black pencil slit skirt (Mid-knee length), and upped her style statement by teaming it with a black peplum top. The peplum top’s shoulder detailing gives it a very chic formal look. A messy fish-tail braid gives Divya a lovely comfy-chic look.

The ‘After-Hours’ Look

The orange kaftan top instantly gives a smart casual look, and the feather ear cuff from LaneJam definitely adds some playful charm. Doesn’t it?

The final word-

Skirts should definitely be our wardrobe staples. Moreover, they should be flaunted more often, and you’ll agree! The silhouettes of skirts are specially designed of women- they are sure to make you look your sensual best! So girls, what are we waiting for? Let’s show off our legs right away!
